Messaging comes down to, “What do I need to tell voters in order to gain their trust and motivate their vote?” You will tell people who you are, what you believe and why you are running. Answering these questions ineffectively will doom your campaign from the get go.
A winning message requires more than just articulating why YOU are running. In fact, your “why” may not resonate at all with the majority of voters in your race. So, how do we find out what will motivate voters in your race and how do we use that information to craft a compelling message around your candidacy? That’s what this module is all about.
Luke and Raz will walk you through the process of discovering and honing your message. They’ll discuss the concept of differentiating your campaign from opponents and lead you through a conversation on dirty versus negative campaigning. At the end of the module, you’ll have a clear framework for building a compelling message around your candidacy.
